QuickBooks Error 80070057 is a common error. This error code shows a message i.e. “80070057: the parameter is incorrect” when the user tries to open a company file. It means that user has not enough permission to delete the files from the particular folder. You must have the read/write also create/delete rights to access the company file.

Possible causes of this error

1.You are opening the company file by double-clicking the company file, rather than opening the file from inside QuickBooks Desktop.
2.You have a third party firewall that is not configured for QuickBooks.
3.You use BitDefender, which blocks uncommon ports when there is data traffic between computers. QuickBooks Desktop 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015 use the database service running on the host computer. This database service communicates through ports 56728 (2018), 56727 (2017), 56726 (2016), and 56725 (2015) respectively. BitDefender blocks these ports by default.
